Ryker is G-tube fed with the exception of a few ounces of baby food per day if he is feeling well. He works with a speech therapist 3 days per week and recently had a swallow study done. The swallow study got him officially cleared for all forms of oral consumption, but it is a slow moving train given his prolonged delay in developing these skills. We were happy that he was able to sample some soft Thanksgiving Day foods. The mashed potatoes weren’t a hit (no offense to the cook), but the cranberry sauce was!
